Simon Purcell-Jackson
I undertook A Levels at John Port School in Etwall, Derby. I turned Assistant Professional at the age of 18 and was fortunate enough to secure a training position at Breadsall Priory Golf and Country Club. I qualified in 1997 and since then I have taken positions at four very different Golf Facilities. I have worked at a large driving range facility, a Plc Country Club, a Golf Club with a retail outlet in excess of 3,000 sq feet and my current Head Professional position at a Private Members Golf Club. I therefore have experience of all aspects of Golf and Golf Course Management and extensive experience of teaching golfers of all levels of ability.
Having spent the past ten years Custom Fitting golf clubs I have experience of dealing with all the major brands, including Cobra, Titleist, Callaway, Ping, Mizuno, Taylormade, Nike etc.
I regularly play in the Derbyshire PGA events and the Derbyshire Alliance events. I am also a member of the Derbyshire PGA Committee and thus closely involved with the development of both Professional and Amateur golf in Derbyshire.
I thoroughly enjoy my job and as such I am always striving to continue my professional development by attending courses and training seminars to further improve my ability.
